Do I Need A Partner?
A partner is not required to take lessons.
Are there any age restrictions?
We prefer to work with individuals and couples over the age of 21.
Are there dance events that I can attend so I can use my new dance skills??
There are many local events each month that our students attend, including dance parties here at our studio.
Where can I practice?
We encourage students to schedule practice time here at our studio. We also offer Dance Parties and they are a fun way to practice with other people who share your excitement for dancing. Offered twice a month on Fridays, Dance Parties are a casual, relaxed way to practice with instructors and other students.
What type of clothing and shoes are recommended?
While there is no special clothing or shoes required, all students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes that will not open or hamper their ability to learn. The best shoes for this type of dance have smooth bottom surfaces, like plastic or leather soles and should be comfortable.
Can other people use my punch card?
Yes, you can regularly use with people within your household or that take private lessons with you. You can also use to bring a fring or guest not in your household to try out the classes, and they can then purchase a card for their future classes if they wish.
What dances will be offered?
Most of what we teach here and something new every week. We'll be doing a very diversified selection throughout the months, and as usual, the majority of votes carry much weight, so please feel free to give us requests and feedback. (We will not be doing the single dance 4-week series for awhile, if at all. It's too hard to get adults on the page schedule-wise.)
What levels of dance will be offered for punch card users?
Newcomer to Intermediate levels. (For the more advanced dancers, we will have occasional weekend or one night workshops, focusing on one dance or style.)
How often are the group classes?
They will average at least 1 per week and will generally be Mondays and/or Tuesdays at 7pm.
Do I have to come every week?
Absolutely not. We are offering new, fresh material every week. There will be no review of previous material, so if you miss a week here and there, no worries.
Do they expire?
Yes, they will have a very reasonable expiration date of 6 months from date of purchase.
Can my punch card be used for any other event?
Yes, you may use for our dance parties: 2 punches for a single, 3 punches for a couple - same household or taking lessons together.
